In Petersburg a building of a former Administration of the City Telephone and Telegraph in Pochtamtskaya Street was sold

On 19th of October the Auction House of the Russian Federation (AHRF) held an auction for the sale of the building with an area of 7.8 thousand sq. m in Pochtamtskaya Street, 15 B.
The sale was carried out on behalf of the PJSC Rostelecom.

Two bidders took part in the auction.
The auction Winner – LLC GRAN Firm – purchased the Lot for the amount of 410 million rubles.

The building is the object of cultural heritage (the architectural monument of regional significance). The Kersten House was built in the end of XVIII century.

In 1859 it was bought by the Telegraph Administration from Kersten’s widow and rebuilt by an architect Alexander Krakau design for placing of the Main Telegraph Station. From 1860 to 2001 the City Telephone and Telegraph Administration was located there.
For today the building is reconstructed. Offices, the Centre of Business Culture multi-purpose platform and a hotel with 22 rooms are located there.
The interior rooms are in nice condition.
