The Auction House of the Russian Federation held an auction for the sale of railroad cars of the deluxe train “Yugra”
11 October 2012 the Auction House of the Russian Federation sold by auction the railroad cars of the deluxe train “Yugra”. The sale was realized under the instruction of the Government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – of Yugra.
14 railroad cars were sold in a Dutch auction for 35 424 115.35 rubles.
Ten railroad cars were bought for 24 174 668.61 rubles by Sary-Arka Company.
The other four railroad cars were bought by Transregion company for 11 249 446.74 rubles.
All cars of the deluxe train “Yugra” are notable for their high comfort level; they are equipped with information screens, refrigerators and microwaves ovens.
Nadezhda Varzhina, the Deputy General Director of the Auction House of the Russian Federation: “We are happy with the results of the auction. We managed not only to sell the railroad cars, but also to earn a good increment at the auction – 2.3 million rubles. At the same time, there would have been more participants in the auction if it had not been for the Federal Law № 401- F3 that came into effect on 01 January 2012. The law made the procedure of the sale of privatization objects take practically one month, forcing the investors to remove funds from circulation and freeze them for a lengthy period, which were paid as the deposit to participate in the auction, thus depriving them of the possibility to sign a sale and purchase agreement immediately after the auction. These additional obstacles for business considerably reduce the number of potential participants in privatization of state assets, thus decreasing the competitiveness of auctions and the efficacy of the privatization process itself”.
In total in 2011 – 2012, the AHR realized property of the Okrug to the amount of 15.34 billion rubles.
