A building of the former Krasnoye Znamya (the Red Banner) hosiery factory is sold for a business centre near Chkalovskaya subway station

The Auction House of the Russian Federation (AHRF) scheduled biddings on behalf of the Deposit Insurance Agency (ASV).
The property of the liquidated “Invest-Ekobank” Commercial Bank Ltd – the three-story building with an area of 9.5 thousand sq. m is offered for sale.
The Object is located in 10-minute walking distance from Chkalovskaya subway station, in Krasnogo Kursanta Street. The façade of the building overlooks Pionerskaya Street, from there it is possible to drive in the territory.

The building is a part of the buildings of the V. P. Kersten Hosiery and Knitwear Factory (later renamed to Krasnoye Znamya Knitwear and Hosiery Factory) and is an object of cultural heritage.

For today the most buildings of the former factory are restored. Several business centres: the Red Cadet, the Pioneer, the Tusar, as well as a store of navigation and geodetic systems work there.

The biddings will be being held through public offer at the ETP AHRF Electronic Trading Platform during the period from 6th February to 25th May. During this period the cost of the Lot will be gradually decreasing.
The biddings started from 176.4 million rubles.
MINIMUM price – 97 million rubles.

The factory was founded in 1885 by a merchant Ivan Osipovitch Natus, later the factory was purchased by German Friedrich-Wilhelm (Vasily Petrovitch) Kersten.
During the following years the factory was being completed, new buildings were being constructed.
During the Soviet period the factory was renamed to the Krasnoye Znamya Knitwear and Hosiery Factory. During the War years the factory was mothballed, and in machine shop a production of ammunition started. In 1966 the factory became a part of the Lentrikotazh Administration of the Ministry of Light Industry of the RSFSR.
