Opening of the first branch of the Auction House of the Russian Federation

The Auction House of the Russian Federation together with the Volgo-Vyatka branch of Sberbank has opened a branch of the Auction House of the Russian Federation in Nizhny Novgorod.

The branch is given the authority to carry out preliminary negotiations, close deals on sale, and prepare and conduct auctions for the sale of assets located on the territory of the region.

The Volgo-Vyatka territorial bank of Sberbank serves the territories of the Nizhny Novgorod, Vladimir and Kirov Oblasts, the republics of Mordovia, Mary El, Chuvashia and Tatarstan. Major cities of service are Nizhny Novgorod, Vladimir, Kazan and Kirov. The newly-created branch of the Auction House of the Russian Federation will work with assets on the territory of all these Oblasts and cities.

The head of the branch is Pavel Gennadevich Zhirunov.

In the coming months, it is also planned to open a branch of the Auction House of the Russian Federation in Moscow.

Andrei Stepanenko, General director of the Auction House of the Russian Federation:

“Today we may officially report that the first territorial branch of Sberbank, which we have organized constructive relations, is the Volgo-Vyatka bank of Sberbank of Russia. We soon hope to discuss in detail what assets are in development by the Nizhny Novgorod branch. Primarily, this involves problematic assets of Sberbank and real-estate of Russian Railways, which are located in this area. Before the creation of the local branch, at the central – Petersburg – office of the Auction House, developments of objects on the territory of the Volgo-Vyatka region were carried out, and they are now all being transferred to the branch. Future plans of the Auction House of the Russian Federation include creation of a branch in every territorial subject of the Russian Federation. The opening schedules depend to a great extent on the volume of problematic assets on the territory of the region, and probably above all on the readiness of local territorial branches to sell problematic assets at open auctions: pledged property, property of bankrupt enterprises and objects which have been transferred to ownership of banks as indemnity for debts of insolvent debtors.”
