The date of a charity auction for fundraising for creation of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of the First World War Memorial in Tsarskoye Selo

On 20-21 April, 2018 the Auction House of the Russian Federation (AHRF) will hold a charity auction for the sale of pieces of art of Saint Petersburg artists. This decision was made on 22 January while signing the appropriate agreement between the Soldier’s Assembly Charity Fund, Saint Petersburg Union of Artists and the AHRF.
The funds obtained after works of art selling will be invested in creation of the TOMB OF THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR and for reconstruction of the Tsarskosel’skoye Common Cemetery of Russian Soldiers who lost their life during the First World War in 1914-1918.

Totally at the auction 1,000 works of art will be offered for sale (painting, graphics, sculpture, ceramics, objects of arts and crafts), created by the members of Saint Petersburg Union of Artists, as well as undergraduate students and graduates of creative higher education institutes of Saint Petersburg City.

The AHRF will issue an illustrated catalogue of the charity auction, in which everyone can see all lots offered for sale.

I have no doubts that the AHRF experience in organization and holding the auctions will allow raising a maximum funds for carrying out the project”, tells Andrey Stepanenko, General Director of the Auction House of the Russian Federation.

The auction will take place in an exhibit centre of Saint Petersburg Union of Artists.
