“Our clients will receive the opportunity to take part in auctions at long-distance (from a mobile phone). Furthermore, using a mobile application, you can observe the course of auctions in real time, see how the bidding for the object is going, and how the price is changing. This may be interesting for journalists, and everyone who is interested in what is taking place at the sale platform, but cannot be present in the hall. So far, we are mainly planning to sale private property at electronic auctions. This will be enabled by the amendments made to 178-FZ “On privatization…” at the end of May this year (federal law № 106-FZ of 31.05.2010 “On changes to the Federal law ‘On privatization of state and municipal property”.). This involves small properties, like for example non-residential premises which we sell for small business. We plan to hold the first auctions for the sale of built-in premises for small businesses online in the fourth quarter of this year. Furthermore, we will hold mixed auctions, when the customers will trade when they are present in the auction hall, and at long-distance – from computer or mobile phone” (general director of the Auction House of the Russian Federation and the St. Petersburg Property Fund Andrei Stepanenko).
